For safety reasons, many BMW and MINI models disable video playback and some infotainment functions by default while the car is moving, leaving them available to the passenger only through specific vehicle configurations.
What video-in-motion activation is
It is a change to the infotainment module's coding that enables video playback and some apps while driving, when the vehicle's equipment allows it. It is not available on every model or software version.
Why it needs a professional installation
Incorrect coding can disable other infotainment functions or leave the system unstable. Before working on it, we check the vehicle's compatibility and installed software version, then carry out the coding with the correct diagnostic tools.
A real case
A customer contacted us after an unsuccessful attempt elsewhere had left the infotainment system behaving inconsistently. We checked the configuration, corrected the coding and enabled the requested function with no further effect on the rest of the system.
